Registration in FinanzOnline
After successfully activating the RKSV signature card and starting up the cash register for the first time, the final step is to register the cash register and signature card in FinanzOnline and verify the start receipt using the BelegCheck application.
Step 1: Registering a signature creation device
The signature creation device is registered in FinanzOnline under ‘Input > Cash registers’ in the section ‘Registration of a signature creation device’. The following information must be provided:

AT1 A-TrustSerial number of the signature or seal certificate:
The serial number can be found on the fiscal status printout, which is automatically printed when the register is started up, or in the fiscal status in the register. The printout can be made at any time afterwards in the fiscal status of the register.
By clicking on ‘register’, the data entered for registering a signature creation device will be transmitted to the tax authorities.
Step 2: Registration of the cash register
The registration of the signature creation device is carried out in FinanzOnline under ‘Input > Cash registers’ in the section ‘Registration of a cash register’. The following information must be provided:
Register identification number:
The register identification number that you assigned in primasello when you first started using it.Comment:
Optionally, you can enter a comment about the register to make it easier to identify.AES-256 user key:
Enter the 44-character AES-256 user key in the input field. The user key is used to decrypt the machine-readable code on the receipt. The user key can be found on the fiscal status printout, which is automatically printed when the cash register is started up, or in the fiscal status in the cash register. The printout can be made at any time afterwards in the fiscal status of the cash register.Check value for user key:
4-digit code that can be entered to check that the AES-256 user key has been entered correctly.
Warning
The cash register identification number has to be unique within a company. If several registers are used, each register has to have a different cash register identification number.
By clicking on ‘register’, the data entered during the registration of a cash register is transmitted to the tax authorities.
Step 3: Request authentication codes for the BelegCheck app
The authentication code for the BelegCheck app can be created in FinanzOnline under ‘Inputs > Cash registers’ in the section ‘Management of authentication codes for app for checking cash register receipts’. Optionally, a comment on the authentication code can be entered in the ‘Comment’ input field for easier recognition and assignment.
When you click on 'Request Code', a new authentication code will be generated and immediately displayed on the page.
Step 4: Verify the start receipt with the BelegCheck app
In the final step, you have to verify the start receipt with the BelegCheck app. You can download the app from the App Store or Play Store (BMF BelegCheckk app).
The receipt can be scanned in the app. Then, the previously created authentication code has to be entered, and the app will display the test result.
If the test was sucessful, the cash register is now registered in FinanzOnline and can be used.
