Please read these instructions carefully before using the scanner.

Alternative accessories

All primasello cash registers only support the accessories listed under Products. If a different scanner is connected, the functionality of the register cannot be guaranteed.

Scope of delivery

The package includes:

• 1x primasello Scanner 2D70

• 1x base

Connect Scanner

The scanner is connected to the primasello register via a USB cable. To connect the scanner, plug the USB cable into the USB port on the bottom of your primasello register. The scanner is powered by the register and is therefore ready for use as soon as the register is switched on.

Step by step

To connect the scanner, perform the following steps in sequence:

1. The primasello cash register has to be switched off.

2. Connect the scanner cable to the cash register connector.

3. Place the primasello cash register on a stable surface.

4. Switch on the primasello cash register

5. Set up scanner

Set up scanner (X120 / X120s / X140s)

Once the scanner is connected, it has to be configured as a scanner device type so that it can be used successfully in primasello.

The scanner has to be activated before it can be used for the first time. To activate the scanner, the following barcodes have to be scanned in the order shown:

1. Start setup

2. Activate scanner

3. Activate CODE ID prefix

4. Finish setup

The scanner is then ready for immediate use and the setup is complete.

Change scanner mode

The scanner has different scanning modes. Each mode is advantageous for a different business case. The scanner is set to step mode by default. To change the scanner mode, the following codes have to be scanned.

Once the setup of the scanner has been started, one of the following three modes can be selected:

2a. Step mode

In step mode, the scanner only starts scanning the barcode after the trigger lever has been pressed.

2b. Detection mode (recommended)

In detection mode, the scanner is in a kind of standby mode and is activated when an object is placed in front of it. The barcode of the object held in front of the scanner is scanned automatically. This mode is particularly recommended for use with the base. In detection mode, the trigger lever can also be pressed to start a scan.

2c. Continuous mode

In continuous mode, the scanner remains permanently active and automatically scans everything held in the light beam.

To increase the scanning speed of your scanner so that you can scan the same product more quickly in succession, you have to scan the following 7 barcodes in the order given:

Restore factory settings
